Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Naval Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture with specific experience in the yachting industry. This role requires technical expertise, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for designing state-of-the-art yachts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop innovative yacht hull forms, structures, and systems in collaboration with the design and engineering teams.
• Perform stability, resistance, and propulsion calculations to ensure optimal performance and safety of yacht designs.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models using CAD software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new yacht projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure seamless integration of design and engineering solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss design concepts, technical details, and project progress.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in naval architecture, yachting technologies, and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and classification society requirements throughout the design and construction process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Naval Architect, preferably within the yachting industry.
• Strong proficiency in naval architecture software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, etc.
• Comprehensive understanding of yacht design principles, hydrodynamics, and structural analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models.
• Familiarity with regulatory and classification society requirements (e.g., Lloyd`s Register, ABS, DNV GL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Professional certification or membership in a relevant professional body is a plus.
