WAMA ODISEA 64

The Wama Odisea 64 is a large aluminum sailing catamaran designed for long-range bluewater cruising, liveaboard use, and charter operations for up to 10 guests.

Wama Yachts has recently entered into partnership with Odisea Catamarans to build aluminum multihulls. iYacht led the entire development process, from initial concept and design through engineering and naval architecture of this 64-foot multihull.

The design of the Odisea 64 addresses specific challenges faced by bluewater cruising catamarans.

The windows on the main deck are angled inward, which drastically reduces heat ingress into the saloon and avoids glare that reduces visibility from inside. The refined hull shape offers excellent performance and low resistance, maximizing efficiency under sail and complementing the electric propulsion system while maintaining enough hull width for comfortable cabin spaces.

The flybridge is one of the standout features. It includes a dining area and an innovative swim platform that can be raised from water level all the way up to flybridge height. The large flybridge T-top hosts a substantial amount of solar panels.

The keel is designed to allow the catamaran to be safely beached. This feature and the substantial load capacity of 7 tons make the Odisea 64 suitable for demanding offshore cruising programs.

Below deck, five full double cabins, each with an ensuite bathroom and ample storage, provide exceptional space and privacy. The large galley, integrated into the starboard hull, offers professional-grade equipment and ergonomics, ideal for extended voyages or charter use.

The boat is powered by twin electric motors and an extensive solar array exceeding 16 kWp, with a 280 kWh battery system. The vessel can travel long distances in fully electric, autonomous mode before the range extender is needed.

Engineered to be built in aluminum, series 5083, during the design phase we prioritized serviceability, with components that are replaceable and upgradable. This approach ensures longevity and practical maintenance over the vessel’s lifespan.

Throughout the entire development, iYacht worked closely with the client and project partners to design and engineer a catamaran for real-world use, bluewater autonomy, and sustainable cruising.
